General Data Protection Regulation
Commitment Statement
The EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is the most significant piece of European privacy legislation in the last twenty years. It replaces the 1995 EU Data Protection Directive (European Directive 95/46/EC), strengthening the rights that EU individuals have over their data, and creating a uniform data protection law across Europe.
Since January 2017, Investment Trends has had a number of streams of work underway to ensure that we will comply with applicable GDPR regulations as both a data processor and controller when they come into effect on the 25th May 2018. Working in conjunction with our clients, we will continuously explore opportunities within our services offerings to assist our clients in meeting their GDPR obligations.
What's Next?
At Investment Trends, we strive to deliver deep insights into the industry segments we study. Hundreds of thousands of respondents around the world share their views and insights with us and we are committed to their privacy. Every improvement to privacy, whether self-led or regulatory, helps us achieve this. We will continue to monitor, evaluate and execute any required operational changes resulting from new legislation, and will keep our clients, partners and regulatory authorities informed throughout this process. We have an internal cross-functional team who continue to monitor GDPR as it moves into production in the next couple of months.
